In this last test batch I picked a favorite mug, just for myself. I haven’t done that in a while so it’s pretty special, and I wanted to try the new specked matte on it. Suffice to say, it’s a new favorite.

Anything that has an off-wheel attachment must dry as slowly as possible to prevent cracks along the joins, or s-cracks along the base. Each one is checked and giving a final touch-up if needed before being loaded into the kiln—very very gently

It’s been two days of throwing and trimming mugs, attaching handles, and recording a short explanation of my mug-trimming process.
